Join us, along with Tim Hanley (Policy & Research Manager, LGBT Ireland) & Mark McNulty (Diversity Liaison Officer, An Garda Síochána) as we discuss the safety & security of LGBTQ+ people in Ireland & the legislative provisions that protect our community.
Some of the topics that will be explored are: An Garda Síochána’s Diversity & Integration Strategy; An Garda Síochána’s Online Reporting Mechanism; Hate Crime legislation & LGBTQ+ safety in the community in general.
This an important workshop for LGBTQ+ people who want to learn more about what to do when we encounter homophobic or abusive behaviour; what legal protection we have and … most importantly … how to keep ourselves safe.
The workshop will be approx. 75mins in duration (including time for Q&A).
For further information, email outcomersdrogheda@gmail.com.
Hope to see ye all then.
