Kiosk at Narrow West Street.
The KIOSK is a new small project space for artists located on Narrow West Street, beside Barlow House in Drogheda initiated by 'thirtythree-45' aka artist Brian Hegarty with the kind support of Droichead arts Centre.
The aim of the ‘Kiosk’ is to create a cross disciplinary programme showcasing and supporting the work of artists and groups at any stage of their career, offering a creative and supportive environment through an artist led approach.
The physical space of ‘The Kiosk’ can be adapted to suit the needs of various types of exhibitions and projects. This initiative aims to engage and provide artists with an alternative platform for their work and ideas.
“The Kiosk has an open submission policy as well as a curated programme. All mediums accepted. We are also open to one off events, performances, screenings or talks. Open to local, national and international artists. Please be patient on replies to any submission or enquiries” said Brian.

Currently showing at the Kiosk is ‘Breathing Spaces’ which is a month-long takeover where the artist Conor McMahon makes full use of the space to incubate ideas for an exhibition.
Moving in on March 20th he initially experimented with the idea of a very large photograph edited specifically for the Kiosk and subsequently reworked the space to develop ideas for the larger exhibition.
At the Kiosk his work is presented in a variety of photographic formats, and include a series of short films integrating his own musical compositions and recordings. To date he has enjoyed enthusiastic interaction with visitors stopping in as they pass by and will be in residence until 5:30pm Sunday 15th April if you’d like to come see for yourself. Previous exhibitions at the Kiosk included Cathal Carolans ‘Sanja’ a ‘ thirty three-45’ retrospective and an exhibition by Boz Mugabe on punk posters from the late 80s which was a collaboration with the Drogheda Zine Fair.
