Fine Gael Councillor Ejiro O’Hare Stratton welcomed MEP Nina Carberry to Drogheda yesterday for what she described as a packed and productive day.
"We began the morning with a meeting with Shane Kelly, CEO of Drogheda Homeless Aid, to discuss pressing local challenges and potential supports" she said.
"From there, we visited St Peter’s Church of Ireland Hall for the Drogheda District for Older People’s coffee morning, where we had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Vera and her team from Boyne Women’s Shed, the dedicated staff from Tredagh Lodge, and Anna Mc Kenna, of the Drogheda City Status Group and many inspiring and kind-hearted men and women of Drogheda."
Later in the day, the Fine Gael group stopped by the Drogheda & District Chamber officefor a lunchtime meeting with CEO Hubert Murphy. Also present was Trevor, CEO of Drogheda BIDS. It was a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions around several key issues, including:
