Louth County Council has launched a new public consultation, Drogheda by Night, inviting residents, businesses and visitors to shape the future of the Night-Time Economy in Ireland’s largest town.

Running until 9^th May, this initiative gives everyone a real say in what happens in the evening and after dark in Drogheda. Whether you’re a late-night worker, someone who socialises on Boyneside, a business owner, or someone who loves the town and wants to see improvements made, your input matters.

Why It Matters

Drogheda by Night 2025 is an opportunity to create a vibrant, inclusive, and safe nightlife for all. When the day’s work in Drogheda ends, the night begins, offering time to unwind, connect and create. It’s also when many keep the wheels turning, making sure the rest of us can enjoy it safely and seamlessly. This is your chance to shape the future and influence what comes next, for the town you love.

Getting involved is easy. Simply visit www.droghedabynight.commonplace.is, take a quick survey, and sign up for updates. Your feedback will help shape policies and initiatives that make Drogheda’s nightlife more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

Who’s Behind It?

This initiative is led by Mark Davies, Drogheda’s Night-Time Economy Adviser, hosted by Louth County Council and funded by the Department of Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport. It is also backed by the Drogheda Purple Flag Group, which works to promote a safe and vibrant night-time environment.

"Drogheda’s nightlife is full of life, music, laughter, hard work, and good times,” said Mark Davies. “But what’s it like for you? What works, what doesn’t, and what’s missing? We need your help to get a real picture of what’s happening after dark. The more we know, the better we can push for what’s needed. Have your say—it only takes a few minutes."
