At the National Indoor Senior Championships 2025 and in local road races, Boyne AC athletes brought a mix of speed, grit, and heart that had fans cheering from start to finish.
On Day 1 of the National Indoor Senior championships, Sean Stratton lit up the track in the Men’s 200m Sprint, clocking a breath-taking 22.65 seconds and finishing second in his heat, a performance that wasn’t just a personal milestone but a powerful statement of the club’s dedication and competitive spirit.
The excitement continued on Day 2 of the National Indoor Championships when senior athletes, Leon King Abor and Sean Stratton, delivered near-perfect runs in the 60m sprint, recording 7.48 and an amazing 7.15 seconds respectively.
Despite their efforts, both missed out on a spot in the final, a loss marked by razor-thin margins that underscores the depth of talent in our club.

The weekend’s achievements didn’t stop there however, on Saturday, young long-distance stars, the Garvey Brothers, Ciaran and Jack, took to the race running with passion.
Ciaran ran a very impressive 29.42 seconds, while his older brother Jack exceeded expectations by finishing 3rd overall in the Fitzers 5km fun run in Dundalk with a fantastic time of 16.04 .
And then there’s emerging star Shauna Rice, who wowed everyone at the McNally's Duleek and District 5K with a stellar 22.44 finish, already setting high expectations at such a young age.
Every stride and every second shaved off the clock speaks volumes about the heart, dedication, and community spirit that make Boyne AC a true force in athletics.
