The next big fundraising event for the Moneymore Townland Community Hub, the Murray & Son Coaches Drogheda Easter 5km Race, will take place on the Easter Bank Holiday Monday, April 21^st is open to all - runners, joggers, walkers and families and will be the first ever race to take place on the new PANCR.

It is fitting that local business Murray & Son Coaches are on board as the title sponsor as they have been providing transport for all of Connect FRCs and Cable’s community trips for over 10 years! However there are still lots of opportunities for other sponsors to come on board so please consider reaching out and supporting this event.

“The services provided by Connect Family Resource Centre, Cable Youth Diversion Project and Moneymore Afterschool Project need the Moneymore Townland Community Hub to expand to meet the complex needs of the area that are constantly growing in demand” said a Connect spokesperson.

“We are making great strides to secure funding for this Community Hub facility to be progressed, but the community is required to raise €300,000 match funding, not an easy task!

“Your community hub will be the home of new and existing services, all focusing on family life, health, education, recreation, and more. It’s a space designed to enable and empower you to achieve your ambitions and lead a fulfilling life in the Community.

“The  Murray & Son Coaches Drogheda Easter 5km race event is an amazing opportunity for everyone in the community to raise the vital, much needed funds towards this centre. Together, we can make a real difference!

“The new Moneymore Townland Community Hub (MTCH) will be a vibrant space with a Community Cafe and Recreation Hall where people come together to learn, grow, connect, and thrive. By supporting this initiative, you contribute to the well-being and prosperity of your community for generations to come.

What You Need to Know

• Start Times: Race begins promptly at 11:00 am.
• Parking: Parking will be FREE at DIFE and also FREE at the Crosslanes Carpark from 10.30-1pm for participants and supporters
• Race Pack Collection: Collect your race packs on race day from 9:00 am at Moneymore Childcare Facility
• Refreshments: Will be provided after the race at Moneymore Childcare Facility
