The Monasterboice Inn was a hive of activity on Tuesday, as over 120 attendees gathered for the launch of the new Visit Louth brand, website, and inspiring tagline: 'Out Here, It’s Legendary!'
The event marked a significant milestone for County Louth, unveiling fresh, dynamic branding and setting the stage for an ambitious new tourism strategy. Attendees, including tourism professionals, local business owners, community representatives, and elected officials, were treated to insightful speeches highlighting the legendary stories, landscapes, and experiences that make Louth a must-visit destination.
The event began with the unveiling of the vibrant new Visit Louth logo and website, www.visitlouth.ie, which will provide a dynamic, user-friendly platform that will not only highlight Louth’s rich heritage and natural beauty but also serve as a valuable resource for visitors, businesses, and tourism partners. The website’s interactive features and engaging content will play a central role in promoting local attractions, events, and experiences.
This was followed by an engaging presentation on the vision behind the brand with Sabhbh Ní Mhaolagáin, Louth County Council Tourism Officer, David Kieran, Managing Director of ZOMA and Bridget Kerrigan, Founder and Creative Director of Bammedia.

Following a lively panel discussion and tasty lunch, the energy remained high as the event transitioned into an afternoon workshop, focused on developing Louth’s first-ever tourism strategy. Participants shared valuable insights, ideas, and enthusiasm, reinforcing the county’s commitment to collaborating with partners, businesses, and communities to elevate Louth’s tourism offering.
Sabhbh Ní Mhaolagáin, Tourism Officer for Louth County Council, expressed her delight with the event, saying: "The turnout today was incredible, and the level of engagement during the workshop was truly inspiring. It’s clear that there is a shared passion for promoting our beautiful county and telling the world why ‘Out Here, It’s Legendary!’ We are so excited to take the ideas generated today and turn them into actions that will drive tourism, support local businesses, and celebrate all that Louth has to offer."
David Conway, Chief Executive of Louth County Council, added: "We are thrilled to launch a bold new identity for Visit Louth, a fresh new website, and a tagline, ‘Out Here, It’s Legendary!’, that captures everything this county has to offer. Cllr Kevin Callan, Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council, also shared his enthusiasm for the initiative, saying: "County Louth has always been a place of rich heritage, warm welcomes, and unforgettable experiences. Now, with this exciting new brand, we are ready to share our story in a bold new way. This new brand, website, and tourism strategy celebrate our past, embrace our future, and showcase everything that makes Louth legendary.
