"Step Forward in Solidarity" 

International Women's Day is on Saturday 8th March and Drogheda Creative Writers will celebrate by supporting all women to have a better future through poetry.

Local poets and writers from Drogheda Creative Writers and Just Write will gather in Highlanes Gallery at 3.00 pm to reflect on women's participation in society and promote the creative and artistic talent of women and girls.

Everyone is welcome to join them for an afternoon of poetry and support the elevation of women's participation and achievements in society in Ireland and who better to speak on that topic than Joanne Byrne TD who is the guest speaker.

Drogheda Creative Writers meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month in Droichead Arts Centre, Barlow House, Drogheda at 7.30pm and participate in various cultural events in the town.
