Gardaí in Drogheda continue to investigate a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a van and a motorcycle which occurred at John Street, Dublin Road, Drogheda, shortly before 7:10am on Friday, 29th August 2025.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, sustained critical injuries and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where he was pronounced deceased on Sunday, 31st August 2025.

Investigating Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses to this collision to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area of the Bull Ring and John Street between 7:00am and 7:10am on Friday, 29th August 2025 are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
