The North East Region’s annual National Services Day (NSD) will take place on Saturday, September 6th, from 12 pm to 3 pm, at Drogheda Port.
This year's event will honor the men and women of the frontline services, offering the public a unique opportunity to meet the heroes who serve and protect our community.
Despite a more modest scale due to financial constraints, the Drogheda NSD Committee is proud to host a vibrant and meaningful celebration.
Emergency and voluntary services from across the region will be on-site with their vehicles and equipment, providing an interactive and family-friendly environment.

Attendees can expect an up-close look at ambulances, fire engines, Garda vehicles, and army and coastguard units.
The event is designed for connection, education, and gratitude, with plenty of photo opportunities and a chance for the public to have informal conversations with the people behind the uniforms.
The newly appointed NSD Regional Rep, Kevin Doyle, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, noting that the focus remains on the people at the heart of National Services Day. "It’s a day for connection, education and gratitude," he said.
Mr. Doyle replaces outgoing Chairman Gavan Duff, whose contributions helped grow the Drogheda NSD into one of the region’s most appreciated civic events.
A special thanks was extended to the Drogheda Port Company for providing the area for this event.
