Mosney Village is to sponsor a roadside billboard campaign for Drogheda Wolves Basketball Club to launch an exciting Car Draw the club is holding on Tuesday 31st December 2024 to raise valuable funds for the club.

Drogheda Wolves’ motto is ‘TO BELONG TO PLAY TO THRIVE’ and their aim is to grow and develop basketball in their expanding town with the ultimate goal to play at the highest level possible.

Drogheda Wolves was officially formed on July 1st 2019 as a result of the amalgamation of Bullets and Sparks basketball clubs. The decision to unite, following a yearlong planning process, has led to the creation of one dedicated inclusive club brimming with new energy and enthusiasm.

Mosney Village is a long time and proud sponsor of the club and is delighted to continue the association. In recent years children and young adults from Mosney Village have represented the club at various ages and continue to thrive as part of this organisation.

Mosney Village is set in acres of open green space along the coastline of East County Meath and is a unique setting that provides all residents with their own private home. This enables residents to live independently in a safe and secure environment. The unique layout of the village lends itself to social interaction amongst neighbours and friends. At Mosney Village, residents of all nationalities are part of a community that is locally driven and locally responsive to promote inclusion and integration.

Barbara Kelly, Chairperson of Drogheda Wolves Basketball Club said ‘We are delighted to have this opportunity to work with Mosney Village on this campaign.  Our women had a long-standing relationship with Mosney and since the merger, Mosney Village has continued to support our Club in many ways.  We have visited the Village, and it is an amazing place. We are planning to provide basketball training within the village in the coming months and have put the wheels in motion for this.’

The billboard campaign, which stretches across prime locations throughout Drogheda and the surrounding area, is sure to catch the attention of those wishing to support the club and possibly drive away with the top prize!
