Ace AC's Danny, Eimear and Chloe secure u20 medals at Dromiskin 5K

On Friday night last, the annual Dromiskin 5K was held with over 700 athletes in participating. Ace Ac had several junior athletes compete in what was a very strong field which included Olympic steeplechaser Michelle Finn, who won the female race in record time. 

Danny Nugent continued his great form with Gold in the junior men's Under 20 division. Danny finished in 15.20 and was 4th overall.

Ace AC also secured first and second in the female u20 section with Eimear Cooney age 17 winning gold with a time of 18.32 and Chloe Cooney who is only 15 following behind her in 2nd with a time of 18.35. The Cooney girls were 6th and 7th overall out of 323 females.

There were some more great Ace performances on the day with incredible performance from 10-year-old Ruairi Cooney who ran his first sub 20min 5k with a time of 19.47. Kate O'Donnell and Ciara O'Connor also ran brilliantly securing new PB's. Ciara got a new 5K PB of 20.04 and Kate's new PB was 20.22.

European championship qualifier Shea O'Donnel was 8th overall in a good time of 15.58

Meanwhile Meadhbh Nolan completed her first half Marathon at the weekend in Ratoath with a time of 1.44.23.
