Boyne AC continues to make waves on the national stage with its athletes excelling across multiple disciplines. This weekend, the club celebrated two outstanding performances that showcase the incredible talent and dedication within the club.

First up was Jack Garvey, who represented Ireland at the prestigious British and Irish Mountain Running Championships held in the picturesque Wicklow Mountains on Saturday, September 14th.

Competing against elite athletes from across the UK and Ireland, Jack delivered an exceptional performance, finishing as the 5th Irish athlete. His ability to tackle the challenging terrain of the Wicklow Mountains is a testament to his strength and perseverance as both a middle and long-distance runner.

Jack isn't just known for his athletic prowess. As the captain of the Boyne AC junior team, he embodies the true spirit of leadership. Always approachable, Jack is a guiding hand for younger athletes, helping them with warm-ups and offering words of wisdom before their races. His sportsmanship and positive energy are an example for everyone at Boyne AC.

But the achievements don’t stop there. On the same day, Boyne AC’s Ruadhan Fangeru showcased his talent at the DSD Throwing Competition. In a fiercely competitive U15 category, Ruadhan claimed a silver medal in the javelin with a remarkable throw of 18.92 meters.

Not content with just the one podium finish however, Ruadhan went on to secure a bronze in the shot put with another excellent throw of 8.07 meters. His versatility and skill in the throws discipline prove that Ruadhan is one to watch as he continues to develop and grow as an athlete.

The future of Boyne AC is undeniably bright. With athletes like Jack and Ruadhan leading the way, the club is setting new standards of excellence. They are incredibly proud of their achievements and are excited to see what more they can accomplish.

Boyne AC is more than a club—it’s a family of talented, hardworking individuals committed to supporting one another and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
