Boomerang Youth Club and Café is one of the jewels in Drogheda’s crown. Since it opened in 2013 it has been offering young people a wealth of experiences and opportunities from its base at 62 Fair St, Drogheda, A92 HX40.

Boomerang provides a safe and welcoming space for young people to hang out, socialize, and participate in a variety of activities and on Saturday of this week, September 7^th, they are holding an open day so potential members can get a taste of what’s on offer.

“Boomerang Café is your local youth centre and gateway to a world of opportunity!” said a spokesperson.

“We pride ourselves on being there to support young people in a wide range of different activities, clubs, educational programmes and pathways to self-development.

“Creativity and quality community service are the beating heart of our organisation, and we welcome you to come and see what your youth centre can do for you!”

We are open Tuesday-Friday from 15.00-18.00pm for anyone aged 18 and under to drop in, see what exciting projects we have on, play some games, and chill with some of Drogheda's coolest people.

Boomerang groups are split into Juniors and Seniors:

• Cryptic Guys boys club
• Diamond Divas girls club
• Demo recording music club
• Free to Be LGBTQ+ club
• Gamers club
• Musical Theatre: The FAA Side story

You are welcome to visit the new and improved pocket friendly café! Recently refurbished with some very special touches from local artists, as well as a new menu full of delicious meals and scrumptious snacks! And most importantly- a chill place where you can kick back and vibe with friends.

Membership is in two categories – Juniors aged 10-13 years and seniors 14 – 18 years and there are many activities available or if you just want to hang out with your friends that’s cool too.

So if you are Drogheda born and bred or are new to the area and need to find new friends, check out the Open Day on Saturday, September 7th any time between midday and 5.00 pm.
