Boyne AC athletes put on a spectacular display at the Clogherhead Seaside 5K, battling through a relentless east wind, a biting chill, and a huge field of 651 runners to deliver outstanding performances.
Against the backdrop of Clogherhead’s stunning coastal views, the energy was electric as crowds lined the route, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement and determination.
Leading the charge was Brian Brodigan, who powered through the tough conditions to cross the line in 19:01, placing 12th overall and securing 4th in his age category—an impressive result in a fiercely competitive race.
Lisa Collier showed her strength and resilience, finishing in 30:01, unfazed by the coastal winds that tested every runner.

The standout performance of the day came from Isabelle Winters, who stole the show in the Female U17 category, storming home in 21:30 to take the overall win.
At just 12 years old, this incredible young talent proved she is one to watch, using the Clogherhead 5K as the perfect warm-up for the challenges ahead.
With such strong form across the board, Boyne AC is sending a powerhouse of talent to Rás na hÉireann this Sunday in Dunleer.
The club is ready to make its mark on the cross-country stage, and with momentum, talent, and determination on their side, all roads lead to Rás na hÉireann!
