A ‘Halloween Costume Swap’ event is set to take place at Dundalk Library from 3p.m on Friday 18th October, an opportunity to save money and make more sustainable choices this Halloween by exchanging clean, wearable costumes. Donations of costumes are currently being accepted, ahead of the event, at Dundalk Library.

The week will close with an inspiring event showcasing the power of allotments. A tour of Drogheda Community Allotments, with a demonstration of seed saving and garlic growing, will take place at Newtown Cross, Newtownstalaban, Drogheda from 11.00 am.

Joe McGuinness, Temporary Chief Executive, Louth County Council said: “The impact of climate change is one of the most significant challenges facing society. As a local authority we are working to build a cleaner, greener environment and a more sustainable way of living for everyone in Louth. Climate Action Week is an opportunity to highlight the range of initiatives underway, and the changes we can all make in our daily lives.”
