Drogheda and District Chamber and BD (Becton Dickinson and Company,) have launched a new awards programme that will recognise the efforts of individuals and groups who help drive and inspire the beating heart of Drogheda life. ‘Community Champions’ will be recognised across all fields in Drogheda and district.
“We have so many heroes, so many great examples of people who inspire us each day and these awards will mark that. This region is a growing one and in the coming years we’ll see significant changes. More than ever, we need our ‘community champions’ – those people that bring a smile to our face and drive us forward as a thriving district,” chamber CEO, Hubert Murphy stated.
Catherina McGuirk from BD added, “BD has been part of the Drogheda community for more than 60 years. While the future business landscape is changing for BD, our commitment to Drogheda remains. Through this partnership with Drogheda and District Chamber in the ‘Community Champions’ series, we are continuing a legacy of supporting the local community. We look forward to honouring the winners.”
President of Drogheda and District Chamber, Naomi Tully, believes the awards scheme can be a true reflection of the town and region. “It not only recognises and celebrates the hard work and dedication of individuals but also inspires others to get involved.
