It was a day of high-octane action and electric atmosphere at the National Indoor Championships in Athlone yesterday, where two of Boyne AC’s rising sprinters, Adam Byrne and Sean Stratton, delivered strong performances in the U23 men’s 60m.

The magnificent indoor arena was packed to capacity, with passionate supporters filling the stands. Among them, the Boyne AC faithful made their presence known, roaring their encouragement as their athletes flew down the track. Byrne and Stratton gave it their all, narrowly missing out on a spot in the finals but proving they are among Ireland’s best young sprinters.

Later in the afternoon, Sean Stratton returned to the track for the U23 men’s 200m. Running a blistering 22.61 seconds, he stormed to second place in his heat, again just missing out on a final spot but leaving no doubt about his talent and potential.

Both athletes are only at the start of their U23 journey, with three more years to compete at this level. With performances like yesterdays, the future looks incredibly bright for these two powerful runners. Boyne AC can be proud, Adam Byrne and Sean Stratton are just getting started!
