The Drogheda Tidy Towns committee are very busy at the moment pulling together their application to the 2024 Supervalu Tidy Towns Competition on behalf of the people of Drogheda and they would like to hear about your activity in the community.
“The committee see one of our key roles as supporting community groups, stakeholders, project partners and organisations in the town that do so much work to make Drogheda the best possible version of itself” said Chairman Gerry Leydon.
“We would love to hear from individuals or groups who are working to improve Drogheda so that we might support, showcase and celebrate your work at a National level”
“We believe it is these efforts big and small that really makes a difference and we are very keen to capture them in words and pictures and include them in the Drogheda application, which is not an application by the Drogheda Tidy Towns Group but an application on behalf of the people of Drogheda.

“The Tidy Towns Competition is so much more than picking up litter and cutting grass, it has evolved to become an important national sustainable and environmental initiative.
“Its eight categories include ‘community’, ‘Nature & Biodiversity’, and ‘Sustainability’. These are categories of critical importance; the continued loss of Biodiversity and impact of the Climate Emergency threaten our planet and way of life.
“For more information or to get in touch please see the Drogheda Tidy Town’s website https://droghedatidytowns.com or check us out on Facebook and Instagram. We look forward to hearing from you!”
