The Alzheimer Society of Ireland are running a Family Carer Training course in Tredagh Lodge Day Centre, Drogheda, called Insights into Dementia - Informing and Empowering Family Carers.

This in-person course will be running in a number of locations, including Drogheda and also online, starting in September, and applicants can apply for all of those through that same application form.

• Communication and Staying Active
• Responsive Behaviours & Safety at Home
• Personal Care, Nutrition & Eating Well
• Course Review & Next Steps

There will be 15 people on each course which is facilitated by a tutor. These courses involve a weekly session lasting 2.5 hours for 7 weeks.

Up to 2 members of the same family can attend, and participants do not have to be the primary carer.
