Temporary Closing of Roads - Section 75 Roads Act, 1993

To facilitate Road Improvement Works

Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close the under mentioned roads to public traffic, for short durations of not more than five days from 12^th August 2025 to 11^h August, 2026 to facilitate Road Strengthening, Road Resurfacing Works and Road Safety Improvement Works. Diversion routes will be signposted. 

Notice is also given that Louth County Council is making a Road Works Speed Limit Order, in accordance with Section 10(1) of the Road Traffic Act 2004, in the interest of road safety at these locations.  Speed Limit of 50kph shall apply to the following entire road lengths, as indicated. 

Any person who wishes to object to any of the closures should lodge an objection in writing (envelope clearly marked “Road Closure Objection”) to the undersigned or via Louth County Council’s Online Consultation Portal using the following link https://consult.louthcoco.ie/ not later than  5.00 p.m. on Tuesday 29^th July, 2025.
