Members of the Louth ladies team, Aine Breen (Captain), Eilis Hand and Aoife Russell help Karen Healy of NECRET and members of the Oncology and Haematology team (Lucy May McCabe, Alison Cordial, Kay McGinn, Diana Rance, Sharon Holdcroft) Louth seniors Eimear Byrne Katie Halligan.
The 14th annual Northeast Dip in the Nip will take place on Sunday, September 7th, in aid of NECRET (North East Cancer Research and Education Trust).
This women-only event sees hundreds take a dawn dip at a secret beach to raise funds for cancer care at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
Helping to launch this year’s Dip are members of the Louth Senior Ladies football team and the hospital’s oncology staff — with support from Áine Breen (Captain), Éilis Hand, Aoife Russell, Eimear Byrne, and Katie Halligan.
While not all may be dipping, they’re showing their support by helping spread the word and cheering others on.
