The cast of Donore & Rosnaree Drama Group's producion of “It’s The Real McCoy” which runs until Saturday night at the Droichead Arts Centre.
The Donore & Rosnaree Drama Group start a run of five nights at the Droichead Arts Centre tomorrow (Tuesday April 10th) with their production of the hilarious play “It’s The Real McCoy”
This play, set in rural Ireland in 1964, takes place in the kitchen of Madge Molloy who has lived over 40 years of her life wondering why her husband Tom vanished within five months of their marriage.
Madge has had to rear her only daughter Maura on her own and needless to say she has become bitter about men in general!" With love stories, a confused curate, a gormless postman and two pedigree gossips, this play has a laugh in every line!
The arrival of a new curate to the parish, closely followed by the “re-appeared” Tom, sets the scene for a comedy packed with witty one-liners, a fascinating storyline and a nostalgic trip back in time that depicts the amazing wit of the Irish.
