The Boyne Music Festival returns this summer from  July 24th to 27th with an exciting programme of chamber music, poetry, jazz, tours and workshops.

This year’s motto Where We Meet is an invitation to acknowledge the beauty in gathering, returning, and reflecting on what we have in common. Festival events will take place in Townley Hall, Slane Castle and Boann Distillery, offering guests plentiful opportunities to listen, participate and connect.

BMF Artists this summer include Deirdre Brenner, Layla Claire, Meesun Hong Coleman, William Coleman, Ed Creedon, Aisling Manning, Julie-Anne Manning, Gavan Ring, Aura Stone, Liubov Ulybysheva, jazz musicians Brigitte Beraha and Barry Green, as well as poet-in-residence Jennifer Horgan.

Dinner at Slane Castle

Prior to the evening concert on July 24th in the iconic Ballroom of Slane Castle, the BMF welcomes guests to an elegant dinner in the Gandon Room. The 4-course set meal will be an opportunity to experience fine local cuisine in a unique historic setting. Seating for the dinner is limited to 60 guests and early booking is recommended.

The Gandon Room is inspired by James Gandon, one of the principal architects of Slane Castle. A refined and dramatic room, it has been transformed into a comfortable and glamorous restaurant with Gandon’s original designs for the Castle on display in the bookcase.

OPENING NIGHT AT SLANE CASTLE - Thursday 24 July 2025, 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm

The BMF is delighted to welcome guests to the festival’s opening night concert in the iconic ballroom of Slane Castle. This fairytale setting offers a stunning ambiance to enjoy the world-class music making of BMF Artists.

Overlooking the River Boyne, Slane Castle has been the seat of the Conyngham family since 1703. It is one of the most impressive and historic buildings in Ireland and for the last quarter century music has been a central part of its tradition.

The BMF is delighted to join the illustrious list of performers associated with this historic location. The evening will feature classical and contemporary music for voice and strings, as well as a reading from this year’s featured festival poet, Jennifer Horgan.

Reception for Friends of the Boyne Music Festival at Boann Distillery

Friends of the Boyne Music Festival are invited to connect with BMF Artists at a private reception at Boann Distillery taking place on Friday 25 July 2025 from 6.45pm to 7:45 pm.

This is a unique opportunity for those in the festival’s inner circle to gather together and enjoy Boann’s fine selection of locally produced whiskeys and/or gins before the evening’s concert. BMF Friends will also hear a short performance by two of this year’s talented BMF Young Artists, Èlia Farreras (soprano) and Lucas Huber (piano).
